and... it's still cold!

We're back in Iowa... and still chilly!! We drove home on Monday - it took us 1.5 hours to go 24 miles in St. Paul! Ick. Not super nice, let me tell you! Took us a little over 2 hours extra to get home - all thanks to some snow and slippery conditions.

I'm at my last full week of work at church. I'm excited for when I'll be back home more often - my bills will go down thanks to better planned shopping/cooking and such! We'll also be eating healthier again :)

Speaking of healthy, I'm in a challenge at my gym right now - I need to go at least 3x a week for 4 weeks! So far so good - 10 more times to go! My next 4 week goal is 4x a week - good thing I won't be working so much!!

My jewelry making is starting to take off - I've had 10 sales on etsy and 4 personal sales to a co-worker. Hurray :) I've also picked up two new students, so we're happy about that income boost!

I decided to change up my hairstyle a little bit this weekend - SO fun to do once and a while - just helps me be more excited to get out, workout, plan, and have fun - what a silly thing hair can do!!

Yesterday we had some excitement - one of my students family was "assaulted" by an apparently senile man... While I was teaching he thought he would bug the mom (and 2 kids in the car) about being spies since "he was in the war and he knows he's being watched." It was all really strange - he even tried to get his head in their window and then started hitting the car with his cane. At that point the mom drove away... Then she came in here freaking out and we called the police and everything.... Mr. Policeman said that he hadn't heard about/from this guy lately so he thought maybe he wasn't so nuts anymore, but alas, that's not the case. Yay for a crazy guy in my neighborhood!!

I'm STILL waiting for Sambucol to get into my CVS - I was going to go in MN, but we didn't get a chance... Shoot...

I'll have to check out CVS! Thanks for the tip! We shop at Costco quite a bit and that has helped.

We do not yet have a house, but are hoping soon! I graduate in May and we are pinching pennies in hopes May will also bring a house!

Thanks for visiting my blog, and a late happy birthday to you!
