He is Risen!!!

Resurrection Hymn

Keith Getty, Stuart Townend

See, what the morning, gloriously bright,
With the dawning of hope in Jerusalem;
Folded the graveclothes, tomb filled with light,
As the angels announce Christ is risen!
See God’s salvation plan, wrought in love,
Borne in pain, paid in sacrifice,
Fulfilled in Christ, the Man, for He lives:
Christ is risen from the dead!

See Mary weeping, “Where is He laid?”
As in sorrow she turns from the empty tomb;
Hears a voice speaking, calling her name;
It’s the Master, the Lord raised to life again!
The voice that spans the years, speaking life,
Stirring hope, bringing peace to us,
Will sound ’til He appears, for He lives,
Christ is risen from the dead!

One with the Father, Ancient of Days,
Through the Spirit who clothes faith with certainty,
Honor and blessing, glory and praise
To the King crowned with power and authority.
And we are raised with Him, death is dead,
Love was won, Christ has conquered.
And we shall reign with Him, for He lives,
Christ is risen from the dead!

How to Explain...

When "please" verbally and in ASL fails...

When "please, please please" verbally and in ASL fails...

Resorting to a huge meltdown is always the obvious way to get what you want...

RIGHT?!?

I Won a Great Giveaway!

Thanks to the ladies over at Just for Me...and You for a fun giveaway a couple weeks ago!

I won a sample package of Ella's kitchen babyfood!

Now, when I found out I won I thought "well, I guess I'll pass the food on to someone who has a baby eating babyfood... since Bekah is eating "real" food now"... BUT let me tell you - these tasty treats have been quite enjoyable. Today she ate an entire serving of Broccoli, Pears, and Peas! This child has NEVER eatting an entire serving of broccoli anything! I was thrilled - she ate her veggies and kept asking for more :)

Thanks Ella's!!

Bekah Welcome Shane Home from Iraq

It's July 1st Again

And that means it's our anniversary :)

3 years ago right now we were finishing up our tasty dessert reception and getting ready to head to Minneapolis.

3 years ago today we had just found out earlier in the week we would be moving to IA.

3 years ago today we planned to wait about 3 years before trying to have a baby.

3 years sounds so SHORT but feels so LONG - we were talking this morning that we feel like we've always been married (not in a bad sense!!), always been homeowners, always had a dog, always been parents... But 3 years is nothing! Now, when we get to 30 we can talk! :)

Praise the Lord for a godly husband who is continually growing and changing into an awesome man of God. Mike is the most selfless, loving person I know and I love him :)

HELP!!

Caution - venting session ahead... read at your own risk...

Wow - if it's not one thing, it's another. And if it's one thing, it's probably twenty.

*We received more bills for baby. We're waiting on paperwork for aid from the hospital...
*I need to build up my cloth diaper stash. So far I've gotten 6 on good deals from diaper swappers. Now just need another pail liner and a few more diapers.
*Our stove is broken - the glass stove top is shattered. Who knows what happened - when I cleaned it tonight after making soup it was absolutely broken to bits. Now what do we do?

I have a cold. I am tired. Bekah has snot issues causing her to be crabby. TGI's almost F!
