We now know where the ER is at the hospital, how it works, and 5 members of the staff there! DON'T WORRY - baby, mommy, and daddy are all fine....
About 7:45 this evening Mike and I were watching some Mythbusters. He was finishing supper (he came home late) and I was making jewelry (haven't done that in AGES). I got up to get something and then went back to the couch - as I was doing that I stepped on a stray piece of beading wire and felt a prick in my toe. I figured it wasn't a big deal - just a poke. Then I looked down... the wire punctured my 2nd toe on my right foot - I could see BOTH ends of the wire. Eek. Mike said "what's up?!" I said "there's a wire sticking through my toe." He came over and was going to pull it out, but then decided to call the nurse line at the ER. After we told her the story (and that I'm pregnant), she decided we shouldn't pull it out, but should come in - to have them get it out and give me a tetnus shot. So, I hobbled my way to the car and then we hung out at the ER for an hour. The nurse pulled the wire, the resident felt all over my foot, and the doctor prescribed a tetnus shot and antibiotics (after telling me numerous times how "cool" this "injury" was).
All in all it was a painless (well, it actually really hurt when they pulled the wire...) trip to the ER and we were very thankful that it had NOTHING to do with our baby. I am on antibiotics though to be sure I don't get an infection which would then require drugs stronger than they like to give pregnant ladies. No big deal... I can handle that. At least I still have all my body parts and my baby happily inside :)

happy to hear you are all okay!
What a story, that must have hurt. We had a trip to the ER for something like this when I was pregnant too. How funny.
Eep! Hope your nerves have calmed down after the experience.
